Fishing Upper Weber River: what to know
The Upper Weber is the river above Rockport Reservoir — from its headwaters in the Uintas down through Oakley and Peoa — plus the short tailwater between Rockport and Echo. Public access is limited to a few state and county spots (the Peoa and Oakley access points, the Rockport tailwater), so it's less crowded than the Provo an hour south. Browns, rainbows, cutthroat, and whitefish in small, clear freestone water.
Fishable at low winter flows, blown out in May, and prime from late June through October. Summer terrestrials and caddis, fall streamers for the browns moving up from Rockport.
Dry-dropper rigs through the riffles and pocket water; streamers in the deeper bends in fall. Respect the private-land boundaries — Utah's stream-access rules mean staying in the public sections.

Best time to fish Upper Weber River
The DWR has stocked Upper Weber River 29 times over the last 6 seasons, and 86% of those plants landed in June through August — the freshest fish and the easiest bite usually follow within a week or two of a stocking. Flows typically peak in June (about 766 cfs median) and settle to their lowest in January (about 55 cfs) — the wadeable, clear-water window usually opens once flows drop below the seasonal median, and the 72-hour chart above shows where today sits against it.
