Seasonal patterns
The famous surface boils run July through September, early mornings on Willard Bay. Spring and fall fish patrol dikes and channel edges. Winter slows them but doesn't stop them.
What they bite
Gizzard shad above all; also minnows, crayfish, and anything fleeing in a hurry.
